River

River was the 18th dog in all-breed history

to achieve the 3 championships

CH OTCH MACH.

His obedience career includes 570 OTCH points, 58 First Placements, 30 High in Trials,13 High Combineds, and 25 UDX legs.

He was the #1 Herding Dog at the 2006 AKC

National Obedience Invitational, and was in the

final eight teams to compete.

River and agility partner Jean Owen competed in the AKC Agility Nationals, and in a huge class of 138, placed 16th among the best 24-inch dogs

in the country.

River was also the first Belgian Malinois in history to earn both a Breed Championship and an Obedience Trial Championship, and the second Malinois to earn the three championships CH OTCH MACH.

He was the #1 ranked Belgian Malinois in competitive obedience in the United States from 2001 - 2006.

We’ve traveled the country, met thousands of people, and you have been the finest ambassador, forever eager to share your heart and turn every stranger into a new friend with your instant offer of a hug and a kiss.  Looking into your bright sweet eyes as you prance beside me in the obedience ring is pure joy.  Everywhere, your deep and unmistakable bark tells all that you are about to leave the start line at Jean’s soft word.  We have years more of hiking, swimming, cud dling and chest rubs, and I look forward to every one.
